Rockwell International has named James D. Bowen vice president and general manager of the Semiconductor Products Division, based in Newport Beach. Bowen, an engineer, formerly was president and chief executive of Attain Inc., a manufacturer of automatic test equipment. He succeeds Gilbert F. Amelio, who was promoted in February to president of Rockwell Telecommunications in Dallas. Amelio was later named president of Rockwell Communications Systems, which includes the semiconductor products unit.
