Simon & Schuster Inc. has acquired a list of children’s books from Britain-based Maxwell Communications Corp. Terms were not disclosed. The list includes about 1,500 reference, classroom and fiction titles for children and young adults published under four imprints: Macdonald Children’s Books, Macdonald Educational Beehive and Purnell. The titles will become part of Simon & Schuster’s International Group and will continue to be published under the existing imprints.
