Ambassador Hotel CLoses

What a shame to start the new year by watching the Ambassador Hotel close its doors. There is talk of replacing the building with commercial properties. Just what this city needs!

It was suggested a monument be put up recognizing the site to “let it be known that (the Ambassador Hotel) was a place well known to Los Angeles and throughout the world.” Good. Let the rest of the world know that all that is left of a beautiful hotel is a hunk of stone. Maybe they should design the monument to look like a tombstone.
