50% Pay Raise for Federal Officials

I hope the American people will send a message to Congress vehemently opposing the 50% salary increase. As long as there are homeless people existing without food, clothing and shelter, and even dying in the streets, Congress has no right to grant itself a pay increase. When our national representatives have conquered this national shame, only then have they the right to consider lining their pockets.
