ABC’s “One Life to Live” is starting a new plot line this week that will find Victoria Buchanan (Erika Slezak) and other key characters exploring an underground world called “Eterna.” It’s a ruined Atlantis-like civilization that supposedly existed beneath the show’s fictional Llantano Mountain. “Eterna” continues “One Life’s” history of breaking away from traditional soap opera story lines. In seasons past, there’s been a journey back in time to the Wild West, an out-of-body experience to heaven and a soap opera within the soap opera.
