RETAILING

Compiled by Mary Ann Galante, Times staff writer

TVI Inc. plans to develop a 20,000-square-foot Huntington Beach supermarket site into a Savers department store.

The company has leased the former K-Food supermarket site at 19131 Magnolia St., next to a free-standing K mart store, said a spokesman for Burke Commercial Real Estate, a commercial brokerage firm.

TVI specializes in marketing used and new merchandising at discount prices. The Huntington Beach store will be the first Savers retail outlet in Southern California.
