Dick Cavett, the ABC talk show host of yesteryear, is one of several potential hosts under consideration for a nightly interview show on CNBC, the new NBC-owned cable program service that will debut April 17. The consumer and financial news channel already has one nightly interview show planned, that one hosted by John McLaughlin, ringmaster of TV’s “The McLaughlin Group.” CNBC expects to start operations with more than 12 million subscribers.
