Having Ed Meese write about fighting crime is like the Ayatollah Khomeini writing about First Amendment rights.
Didn’t crime and drug use soar under Meese’s “leadership” of the Justice Department? Didn’t his own top deputies resign in shame over his unethical abuses while in office?
I don’t know how short he thinks the public’s memory is, but I still remember him as the attorney general who made John Mitchell look like a pro bono saint.
The only thing worse than having Meese in public office is having him back in California full time.
