Mariners Bancorp, the San Clemente-based holding company for Mariners Bank, reported net income of $188,372 for the first quarter, compared to the $70,238 posted for the like period in 1988. The bank said last year’s profit was affected by the opening of a new branch office. Revenue climbed 57%, to $1.8 million from $1.1 million.
