General Microelectronics Corp. The computer manufacturer reported a $497,979 net loss and $456,611 in revenue for the first quarter ended March 31. The firm reported a $13,512 net profit and $925,831 in revenue for the same quarter last year. Company officials blamed the loss on “increased expenditures for research and development and for general administrative costs” associated with the development of new products.
