The Balboa Theatre Foundation is requesting a 90-day extension to complete its fund-raising feasibility study for renovation of the historic Balboa Theatre. Although the Centre City Development Corp. had granted the foundation a six-month permit, difficulty reaching “people crucial to the study” and the death of a key foundation member have put the study behind schedule, a foundation spokesman said Wednesday. The staff of CCDC has recommended that the corporation’s board of directors approve the extension at its meeting today.
