Volleyball Coaches Agree to Complete City 4-A Playoffs

Coaches of the four volleyball teams left in the City Section 4-A Division playoffs agreed Saturday to continue to direct their teams even if teachers strike Monday against Los Angeles Unified School District.
Chatsworth High Coach Steve Berk made the announcement after a morning meeting, saying that he will honor picket lines during the day but join his team for practice and matches this week.
Chatsworth will play host to Taft in one semifinal Tuesday at 7 p.m., and Westchester will play at Palisades at 4 p.m. in the other. The final is scheduled for Friday at UCLA.
