Pay-Fone Systems Loses $18,225 in 3rd Quarter

Pay-Fone Systems, a payroll services firm in Van Nuys, said it lost $18,225 in the third quarter that ended March 31 as sales fell less than 1% from a year earlier to $1.6 million. In the year-earlier quarter, Pay-Fone earned $44,672.
For the nine months, Pay-Fone lost $10,762 as revenue dropped 2% to $4.6 million. In the year-earlier period, the company earned $69,204.
