Melville P. Windle has been named president...

Melville P. Windle has been named president and chief operating officer of 20th Century Industries in Woodland Hills.

Windle will succeed Neil H. Ashley, who will retire as president of the insurance company at the end of June. Windle is now 20th Century’s group vice president and general counsel.

Separately, Richard A. Dinon, 20th Century’s vice president of corporate relations, was promoted to group vice president. He will be responsible for claims, corporate claims, corporate relations, investor relations and administrative services.
