Ernst A. Schoepe, who became president and chief executive of controversy-beset R. P. Scherer Corp. last fall, resigned those positions Tuesday, the firm announced. Schoepe will remain as a director of the gelatin capsule firm until its acquisition by a unit of Shearson Lehman Hutton Holdings is completed.
