The Minnesota Vikings’ attempt to acquire quarterback Steve Walsh, a St. Paul native, from the Dallas Cowboys has failed because the Cowboys’ asking price was too high, said Viking General Manager Mike Lynn.

“We’re done negotiating with them,” Lynn said. “It appears at this stage Walsh is going to be a Cowboy. He will not be a Viking.
