Authorities were investigating the death of a 22-month-old child Sunday.
The body of Christopher Atwater was discovered by his mother, Cheryl Christensen, at 9:40 a.m. on the floor of their residence in the 3400 block of Castle Glen Drive, San Diego police Sgt. Tim Smith said. Detectives were investigating reports that the child may have suffered trauma to his chest, Smith said.
