An accident claimed the life of a 44-year-old man early Sunday, authorities reported.
William Trkja of Escondido was killed when his car left the road and flipped over on West Lilac Road, east of Camino Del Rey, at 2:20 a.m., said Charles Kelley of the coroner’s office.
The man, who was thrown from the car, was pronounced dead at the scene, Kelley said.
Trkja’s car was going about 70 m.p.h. when he lost control on a curve, said Kelley.
