Breedlove Holds Lead
Bob Breedlove of Des Moines, Iowa, held a slim lead through the first portion of the Race Across AMerica Sunday.
Breedlove reached the 56th check point in Twentynine Palms in 8 hours 30 minutes, one minute ahead of Michael Secrest of Scottsdale, Ariz. The riders were not expected to take a rest stop until just east of Gallup, N.M., early Tuesday morning.
