Commercial Scene : Hotel Renovation Begins at South Coast Westin Hotel

Tishman Construction Corp. of California has begun a 1-year, $10.5-million renovation of the Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel, 666 Anton Blvd., Costa Mesa.

All 390 rooms at the 14-year-old hotel are being upgraded, as are the main ballroom, lobbies, cafe and most other common areas. A new boardroom will be added on the third floor and an executive lounge with business-related services will be built on the 15th floor.

Leo A. Daly is architect of the project. Interior design and space-planning is being done by FORMA Design Group.
