Alexei Kasatonov and Igor Chibirev scored goals for the Central Army team as the Soviets edged the Calgary Flames, 2-1, in Moscow, sending the National Hockey League champions to their only loss in the four-game series.
The NHL has an overall record of 5-2 on the first visit by its clubs to the Soviet Union. The Washington Capitals have won two of three games and play today in Leningrad.
