Fixed-Rate Mortgages Dip: Fixed-rate home mortgages are averaging 10.03%, according to a national survey by the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. That rate was down from 10.05% the previous week. On one-year adjustable rate mortgages, lenders were asking an average initial rate of 8.70%, up from 8.68% the previous week, Freddie Mac said.
