Ad Agency Pleads Innocent: Young & Rubicam, one of the nation’s largest advertising agencies, pleaded innocent to charges that it paid nearly $1 million in bribes to Jamaican officials for the island’s lucrative tourism campaign account. Two company executives and a former executive also pleaded innocent in U.S. District Court in Hartford, Conn. The two former Jamaican officials charged with accepting the bribes, former Minister of Tourism Anthony Abrahams and an adviser, Arnold Foote Jr., were not in court. Arrest warrants were issued for the two, but have not been served, said U.S. Attorney Stanley Twardy Jr.
