New York Post Ends Sunday Edition: The New York Post announced that it was dropping its Sunday edition Nov. 26 because of poor circulation, and union spokesmen said there were fears of other cutbacks. But Post owner and publisher Peter S. Kalikow, who bought the money-losing paper from Australian press magnate Rupert Murdoch, said he was ending the Sunday edition to focus on long-term profitability.
