Kansas City Wants Late Fees From Braniff: City officials said if Braniff Inc. doesn’t pay $1.8 million in overdue airport rental and gate fees by Nov. 28, it risks losing its gates at Kansas City International Airport. Kansas City will file a motion in federal bankruptcy court next week demanding the payment and will resist any effort by Braniff to extend the deadline, a city official said. Airline officials were unavailable for comment.
