SYDNEY, Australia — Australians Peter Senior and Peter Fowler shared the lead after the first round of the Australian PGA championship today.
The pair shot 5-under-par 67s to lead by a stroke over Australian Mike Harwood and Americans Hank Baran and John Wilson.
Welshman Ian Woosnam, at 2-under-par 70, was three shots behind, and Fred Couples and defending champion Wayne Grady were six back after 73s over the 6,950-yard Riverside Oaks course.
