Joseph Coffman has been appointed manager of communications and marketing at the Bowers Museum in Santa Ana. A former director of media relations for the California State University system, Coffman, 48, also has been director of media for arts and events at Pacific Lutheran University, and a public relations manager for Pacific Northwest Bell. He has written arts criticism and features for U.S.A. Today Magazine, the Seattle Times and other publications.
