Juan Manuel Cardenas, 12, shot and killed Jacalyn Calabrese, 12. Shocking, tragic, horrible, horrendous, what else can you say to describe the unthinkable act? You can ask why friends of Juan, who stated he had been showing off the .25-caliber weapon for at least a week prior to the incident, didn’t think a weapon in the hands of a 12-year-old dangerous enough to report it to a responsible adult?
