THE SIDELINES : Billups Denies Gun Charges

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Lewis Billups pleaded innocent to a variety of gun charges today in Hamilton County Municipal Court in Cincinnati and in Kenton District Court in Covington, Ky.
Billups didn’t appear in either court but remained free on $500 bond on the Kentucky charge and on $9,000 bond on the Ohio charges.
Billups was arrested Thursday by police in suburban Ft. Wright, Ky., after police in Cincinnati alerted them that undercover officers had seen Billups holding a pistol in his automobile.
