WHY TEACH?

I’m tired of teachers’ complaints in articles like “Why Teach?” (Nov. 26). Let me educate the teachers a little:
There are millions of college graduates (including many with advanced degrees) in the U.S. who earn less than you do.
Other workers put up with even more aggravation than you do from their bosses, co-workers, customers and working conditions.
They do it for 11 1/2 months a year--while you work only a little more than nine months a year!
Shut up already--your pay increase in the ‘80s have been outstanding.
