Balaguer in Texas for Tests

HOUSTON — Dominican Republic President Joaquin Balaguer, 83, who is considering a bid for a sixth term in May, was undergoing tests Tuesday at Methodist Hospital, officials said. “He is a patient here, but he has asked that we not release anything about him,” spokeswoman Brenda Koch said.
