NATION : Mother Wants Passport Back

WASHINGTON — Plastic surgeon Elizabeth Morgan, locked in a bitter international custody battle with her ex-husband, took steps today to get back her passport that was taken away when she went to jail rather than tell where their daughter was.
Her lawyer’s office here said a petition was filed with Superior Court Judge Herbert Dixon seeking return of her passport, presumably so she can see her daughter, Hilary, 7, who was located Friday in New Zealand.
