THE DEATH OF HANK GATHERS : Gathers Touched Those Who Knew Him

As “March Madness” approaches, the games seem irrelevant. To see a talented and beautiful young man fall to the court and stop breathing is truly tragic. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes tragedy to lift our blindfolds. Hank’s death showed me that what I thought was important was insignificant.

Go home and hug your child, kiss your wife, call your mom, tell someone you care about how much you love them.

It’s only a game.
