BRACING: School officials know “drug babies” are coming soon (B1), but they’re wary because there is no track record for them. . . . “We’re at a loss as to how to (work) with these kids because we don’t have any here yet,” says an official for the Newport-Mesa district. “We’re equipped to handle disadvantaged and disabled students. . . . What we don’t (know) is what the numbers would be and if there’s some specialty we need to know.”
