Roy Tarpley, Dallas Maverick forward, was fined $250 after missing the team’s 9 a.m. flight to Houston Saturday.

Tarpley said his home in North Dallas suffered a power outage early Saturday, causing his alarm clock to stop.

If Tarpley misses another team flight, practice or game before Saturday, he would be in violation of the league’s anti-drug guidelines set for two-time offenders and would have to undergo a drug test.
