Texaco Funds Caltech Environmental Lab: The oil company, which has contributed to the California Institute of Technology’s Environmental Quality Lab for almost two decades, will give $500,000 over the next five years to fund the lab’s new Center for Air Quality Analysis. The center will develop reliable environmental models to test various new emission-control strategies, reporting the results to industry and to government regulatory agencies.
