THOUSAND OAKS : 18 Cited Over Alcohol Sales

Eighteen businesses in Thousand Oaks and Moorpark were cited Friday evening for selling alcohol to minors, a spokesman for the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department said Saturday.
According to Lt. Bill Montijo, two Sheriff’s Department cadets, ages 18 and 19, posed as potential customers at 57 businesses, ranging from liquor stores to restaurants. Twelve businesses in Thousand Oaks and six businesses in Moorpark provided alcohol to the cadets, Montijo said.
