Stones May Not Rock in Italy: An Italian politician has called for the Rolling Stones to be banned from playing in Italy this summer, saying their songs encourage drug use. Gianni Rivera, a soccer star turned parliamentarian, said the British group’s songs contain “clear and repeated exhortations to use drugs.” The Stones are scheduled to play four concerts in Milan and Rome in July. In a statement supported by 50 other parliamentarians, Rivera said the scheduled concerts would be inappropriate, especially if a new law aimed at cracking down on drug use among young people wins its expected approval.
