Celebrities Hot on Warm Earth: Daniel J. Travanti of “Hill Street Blues” announced plans to launch a celebrity effort to educate Americans about the threat of global warming. Travanti met with Mayor Tom Bradley and leaders of the Sierra Club on Monday to talk about the campaign, which will include a series of TV announcements and the distribution of global-warming action kits. Travanti, as well as Jane Alexander, Lloyd Bridges, Ken Olin, John Ritter and William Shatner, have already filmed seven public service announcements to be broadcast nationwide.
