Eastern Airlines to Offer Guarantee: In a bid to bring back business travelers scared off by its bankruptcy filing and a machinists strike, Eastern Airlines announced a money-back guarantee for passengers using its discounted first-class fares. Miami-based Eastern also set $29 and $39 summer fares for children traveling to nine cities in Florida. The carrier said it will offer the refunds to travelers who are not completely satisfied by its “Y-Not” fares, which permit first-class travel at rates 15% below standard coach levels.
