A lawsuit filed by a former Drake basketball player charging the university with fraud for failing to provide an education is without merit, a school spokesman said.
“Obviously, we are disappointed and dismayed,” university spokesman Alan Cubbage said.
An attorney for the former player, Terrell Jackson, filed the lawsuit Monday, alleging that Drake failed to provide Jackson with enough academic counseling and tutoring to complete his degree.
