American Health Services Corp.: The Newport Beach-based operator of outpatient diagnostic imaging centers reported first-quarter net income of $325,508, up from $106,666 for the like period in 1989. Revenue rose 30% to $7.4 million from $5.7 million. S. Lewis Meyer, chairman and president, attributed the results to increased operating performance in the company’s existing imaging centers and profitable operations at three new centers.
