Simi Valley’s Holtby Second

Paul Holtby of Simi Valley finished second Wednesday in the Southern California qualifying tournament for the state amateur golf championship in June.
Holtby shot rounds of 69 and 70 at Los Serranos Country Club in Chino, finishing seven strokes behind the top qualifier.
Other Valley-area qualifiers include Sylmar’s Dave Berganio Jr., Granada Hills’ Kevin Eden, Glendale’s Robert Veeh and Jim Netto, Simi Valley’s Mitch Voges, and Chris Etue, Chad Holden and Chris Zambri of Thousand Oaks.
