Gerald Perry, starting left tackle for the Denver Broncos, was free after posting $5,000 bond following his surrender to Denver police to face third-degree assault charges.

Perry is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court June 1.

Last week, Denver police issued an arrest warrant for the 6-foot-6, 305-pound Perry after he was accused of assaulting Patrick Powell at a Denver bar April 13. Powell is 5-6 and 130 pounds.
