Samantha Hearn’s Condition Worsens

Samantha Hearn, the 41-year-old daughter of Laker announcer Chick Hearn who has been in a Van Nuys hospital suffering from viral pneumonia for more than three weeks, has become worse.

Her mother Marge said Tuesday that all life support has been removed except for a respirator.

The Forum has received 10 boxes containing nearly 10,000 cards for Samantha since Hearn mentioned his daughter’s illness during the Prime Ticket telecast of the Lakers’ final game of the season.
