Tuesday: A new version of “The Fantasticks,” the world’s longest-running musical, opens a 40-city national tour in Minneapolis.

Wednesday: “Banned in the U.S.A.,” the new record by the controversial 2 Live Crew that uses the melody from Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the U.S.A.,” hits record stores.

Saturday: Luciano Pavarotti joins tenors Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras for a “Three Tenor Concert” in the Baths of Caracalla, Rome on the eve of the World Cup soccer championship.
