Damn Good Premiere!: Save the date and start baking those cherry pies because “Twin Peaks” will begin its second season with a two-hour episode directed by David Lynch on Sunday, Sept. 30. Lynch will also direct the subsequent one-hour episode that will air in the series’ regular 10 p.m. Saturday slot. By the end of those three hours, said Mark Frost, the show’s executive producer, the loose plot strings surrounding the death of Laura Palmer will be “pretty much” resolved. And don’t worry: Special Agent Dale Cooper, played by Kyle MacLachlan, who was last seen with three bullets in his chest, will be back--alive and well and still thirsty for coffee.
