John O’Brien, 60, has resigned as chairman, chief executive and a director of defense contractor Grumman Corp., citing personal reasons. Renso Caporali, 57, the vice chairman for technology, succeeds him. The board, however, is reviewing candidates for the three jobs, including Caporali.
