Roger C. Faxon, a longtime executive in Hollywood, has been named executive vice president and chief operating officer of Sotheby’s North America. Faxon previously served as senior executive vice president at Columbia Pictures, where he oversaw the studio’s distribution, marketing and business affairs. Faxon also has held top posts at Tri-Star Pictures, the Mount Co. and Lucasfilm Ltd.
