TORONTO — CBS-TV has announced that Suzanne Pleshette and Lloyd Bridges will star in “The Queen of Mean”--a working title--a two-hour movie currently shooting in Toronto.
The film, based on the book by Ransdell Pierson about New York real estate mogul Leona Helmsley, also stars Joe Regalbuto and Bruce Weitz.
The drama chronicles the life of the infamous real estate woman, played by Pleshette, from 1953 until her trial in 1989 for tax fraud. Bridges plays her husband, Harry Helmsley.
